In this excursion you will get to know the picturesque Mostar a city of poetry, a city of stone and sleepy, narrow winding streets.
The city owes its name to the famous bridge over the Neretva River (most=bridge). During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995) the bridge fell victim to Croatian artillery, because they wanted to demolish it as it was a symbol of Ottoman architecture. It has later been rebuilt. The town is exceptional for its dwellings and monuments assembled harmoniously over the centuries thanks to favourable geographical conditions and a sound economic climate.
During your tour of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city, you’ll see its historic Old Bridge, the colorful Old Bazaar with traditional handicrafts and a well-preserved traditional Turkish houses. Shop for handmade local crafts or enjoy lunch during your free time in one of the picturesque local restaurants..
Drive back to Dubrovnik in the afternoon.
