DAY 1 • SUNDAY: DUBROVNIK – ARRIVAL
Arrival to Dubrovnik Airport, transfer to hotel. Meet the tour guide, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 • MONDAY: DUBROVNIK – MOSTAR – SARAJEVO
After breakfast, we drive to the picturesque city of Mostar, which owes its name to the famous bridge over the Neretva River. During your visit of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city, you’ll see its historic Old Bridge, the colorful Old Bazaar with traditional handicrafts and a well-preserved traditional Turkish houses and mosques. Then we continue our coach travel tour to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Here we can still see the dominance of the Ottoman style of mosques, complemented by Catholic cathedral and Jewish synagogue. In the afternoon guided tour of Sarajevo: spot where the Sarajevo Assassination took place, Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque, Bezistan, Baščaršija…. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY 3 • TUESDAY: SARAJEVO – BELGRADE
After breakfast, we drive to Belgrade. There will be a break for a lunch on the way. Early evening arrival to Belgrade, dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 • WEDNESDAY: BELGRADE – ZAGREB
After breakfast sightseeing of the capital city of Serbia, which lies at the confluence of two major rivers – Donava and Sava. Due to its location, Belgrade once was and still is an intersection between east and west, north and south. We will see the Belgrade fortress Kalemegdan, which has 7000 years of history. The fortress leads us directly to the old part of the city with the oldest cafes. Close by is the main street in Belgrade – Knez Mihailova Street. You will also see the Republic square, Saint Sava Temple – the largest Orthodox Church in the city, Tito’s Memorial. After sightseeing drive to Zagreb. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 • THURSDAY: ZAGREB – PLITVICE
After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of the Croatia’s capital, which will reveal its most important cultural and architectural attractions: the Cathedral, the main Ban Jelačič square, the the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical center, St. Mark’s Church with its multicolored roof, the Croatian National Theatre and the University. Then drive to the Plitvice National Park, wonderful nature protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park comprises 16 terraced lakes, which are interconnected by a series of stunning waterfalls and surrounded by densely-wooded hills. Walk among the waterfalls, take a boat ride through the crystal water and make some magnificent photos. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice region.
DAY 6 • FRIDAY: PLITVICE – TROGIR – SPLIT
Morning departure to Trogir, a town beautifully set on a small island within medieval walls with mazelike streets. Trogir is known for its Romanesque and Renaissance architecture which flourished under Venetian. Visit the magnificent Cathedral of St Lawrence. Then we continue to Split. Start with the sightseeing tour of the city with typical cobbled Dalmatian streets in the historic centre which is built around the remains of a Roman palace. The Palace of the Emperor Diocletian was built in 4th century AD. Learn about the area’s fascinating history as you see Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, the Cathedral and other Renaissance and Gothic structures. Dinner and overnight in Split.
DAY 7 • SATURDAY: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
Morning departure to Dubrovnik, where a local guide will show you around this world-famous Dalmatian city, also called the Pearl of Adriatic; it has a rich and interesting history, which is seen on every step. It is one of the most photographed towns in the Mediterranean. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 • SUNDAY: DUBROVNIK – DEPARTURE
Breakfast, end of the tour, transfer to the airport…
