Upon arrival at Belgrade Airport, meet your driver and transfer to your hotel, passing through New Belgrade, known for its large residential blocks and modern business buildings. After check-in, take some time to rest. In the evening, stroll to Skadarlija, Belgrade’s bohemian quarter. Its cobbled street, traditional kafanas and live music create a warm, authentic introduction to Serbian hospitality.

Today’s tour shows the main sights of Belgrade. A panoramic drive takes you through New Belgrade and the Dedinje district to the Temple of Saint Sava, then along King Alexander Boulevard and past the National Assembly to the city centre. On a walking tour, explore Republic Square and Knez Mihailova Street, then stop in the city’s oldest tavern for Serbian coffee and rakija with stories about local customs. Finish at Kalemegdan Fortress, where views of the Sava and Danube complete the picture of Belgrade. In the evening, enjoy a gentle river cruise to see the city’s skyline and bridges from the water.

After breakfast, drive north to Fruska Gora National Park and visit Krusedol Monastery, one of the most important Orthodox monasteries in the region. Continue to Sremski Karlovci, a small baroque town with a long winemaking tradition. Visit a local winery to taste regional wines, including the aromatic Bermet, then head to Novi Sad. Walk through the pedestrian centre and up to Petrovaradin Fortress for views over the Danube and the city before returning to Belgrade in the evening.

Leave Belgrade and travel south to the Sumadija region to visit Oplenac, the royal complex of the Karađorđevic dynasty with its church-mausoleum and mosaics. Nearby, stop at a local winery for a short tasting and an introduction to central Serbia’s wines. In the afternoon, continue to Zlatibor Mountain, one of Serbia’s most popular mountain resorts. Check into your hotel and enjoy the fresh air and relaxed atmosphere. A dinner with regional specialities introduces you to the flavours of Western Serbia.

This morning, ride the Zlatibor Gold Gondola from the town to the peak of Tornik. The 9 km journey offers wide views over meadows, forests and Ribničko Lake.
Afterwards, visit Sirogojno and its Old Village open-air museum to see traditional wooden houses and learn about mountain life. Continue to Stopica Cave, known for its terraced “tubs” carved by the underground Trnava stream. Return to Zlatibor for a free evening or another relaxed meal in one of the local restaurants.

After check-out, drive to Mokra Gora for a ride on the heritage Sargan Eight railway. The nostalgic narrow-gauge train winds through tunnels and across viaducts, with several viewpoints over the surrounding mountains. Continue to Drvengrad (Wooden Town), an ethno village built by film director Emir Kusturica, with its wooden houses, small church and cinema. After some free time for lunch, return to Belgrade for your final evening at leisure.

After breakfast and hotel check-out, your Serbia tour comes to an end. Many travellers choose to extend their stay in Belgrade or combine this route with a wider Balkan trip. Departure transfers to Belgrade Airport are not included, but can be arranged on request.
