Stunning Slovenia: From the Alps to the Adriatic

Start your day with a guided exploration of Ljubljana, one of Europe’s most inviting capitals. Visit Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the Central Market and the Town Hall. Ride the funicular to Ljubljana Castle for sweeping views and learn about the city’s rich past.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to wander along the riverbanks or relax in a cosy café. Optional: Slovenian folklore dinner.

Travel east to Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city, known for the world’s oldest grapevine and its picturesque riverfront. Stroll through the old town and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to Ptuj, the country’s oldest settlement, with Roman ruins and elegant baroque facades.
Return to Ljubljana in the evening.

Discover Predjama Castle, an extraordinary fortress dramatically built into a cliff face. Continue to the spectacular Postojna Cave and ride the underground train through its vast limestone halls filled with incredible stalactites.
Later, travel to Slovenia’s Adriatic coast and settle into a seaside resort where you can enjoy a peaceful evening by the sea.

This morning, explore Piran, a coastal gem of Venetian elegance and narrow winding streets. Admire Tartini Square, visit St. George’s Church, and stop for a coffee overlooking the sea.
Continue to Koper, a historic port city with medieval alleys and lively squares. Lunch is included. The afternoon is free to unwind and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.

Head west to the Lipica Stud Farm, home to the world-famous Lipizzaner horses, bred for centuries for the Habsburg court. Continue through the stunning Soča Valley, where turquoise waters flow between green peaks. Stop in Kobarid for lunch and a visit to the moving WWI Museum before continuing into the Julian Alps for an overnight stay surrounded by mountain scenery.

Spend the day among Slovenia’s alpine treasures: Visit Lake Bled, its clifftop castle and the charming island church reached by a traditional pletna boat. After lunch, continue to Lake Bohinj, the country’s largest natural lake, and take the cable car up Mount Vogel for breathtaking views over Triglav National Park.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your group in the tranquil Alpine setting.
