Day 1: VENICE – ARRIVAL
Arriving at Venice’s airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2: VENICE
Today begins with a walking tour of Venice featuring the major highlights: St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, Bell Tower, and Bridge of Sighs. Then you visit a glassblowing factory where you will watch a master artisan demonstrate this traditional Venetian art. Finally, the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Venice on your own or to take an optional gondola ride. Overnight.
Day 3: VENICE – FERRARA – PISA – FLORENCE
In the morning, you head to Ferrara, a splendid city of art, well known for its Renaissance period. After the orientation tour, we continue to Pisa. The Leaning Tower has made this city famous all over the world. Walk around Piazza del Miracoli to see the Tower, Baptistery and Duomo. Then you continue Italy private tour to Florence, the capital of Tuscany. After check-in, there will be a free evening. Overnight.
Day 4: FLORENCE
The tour begins at the Piazza del Duomo in the morning, where you see the world-famous Cathedral with magnificent Dome and nearby Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery. Next, visit the churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce and observe the river Arno from the famous bridge Ponte Vecchio. Finally, the tour ends at the Piazzale Michelangelo with a spectacular view over Florence. The rest of the day, you will be free for further exploration of this glorious city of Renaissance. Overnight.
Day 5: FLORENCE – SIENA – SAN GIMIGNANO – FLORENCE
Drive to Siena, which is located in the central part of Tuscany. The city’s historic centre has been a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Siena is well-known for its cuisine, art, museums, medieval cityscape, and the horse race held twice a year on the city’s main square. Continue to San Gimignano, a small town with about a dozen tower houses with picturesque medieval architecture. Take a walk around, get some typical food, and try their Vernaccia white wine. Return to Florence. Overnight.
Day 6: FLORENCE – ASSISI – ROME
In the morning, we start to drive through the lovely panorama of Tuscany, making our way to Assisi, the hometown of St. Francis. Here we stop for a walking tour to see the main square and visit the famous Basilica of St. Francis. Then we head to Rome – the capital of Italy. Check-in the hotel and overnight.
Day 7: ROME
This day you have a full-day sightseeing tour which shows you all the highlights of this incomparable City: St. Peter’s Square, St. Peter’s Basilica, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps… Overnight.
Day 8: ROME
A day free to explore Rome your way. There is still so much to see and do in this fabulous city. Your Tour Guide will help you with suggestions on spending this day. One of these suggestions would be the visit of the Vatican Museums with moving Sistine Chapel. Overnight.
Day 9: ROME – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Rome for your departure flight.
